Hi mamas!
As you know, these times have been very difficult. I reached some lows when we were first told to stay home as our lives got flipped upside down. Nico no longer is in pre-school, i'm no longer physically going to work or how about every day things like going to the grocery store or popping in at your favorite cafe? What i'm trying to say is that all of our lives are flipped upside down, so how are we going to get through this especially with a toddler who needs attention all day long.
1. Routine
Creating a routine within your household to get through the day is crucial! To know you have 12+ hours to fill each day is a bit daunting but when you develop a time each day for certain activities has helped a ton.
2. Go outside
In my case, I live beside a huge park and walking trails that we are able to utilize to get out to play. Nico luckily is into being Sonic the Hedgehog which gets him running constantly which in the end tires him out for an easy bedtime. I'm not expecting this quarantine to be over anytime soon, but I'm looking forward to the better weather and having a picnic in the backyard and enjoying the time with my family.
3. We will get through this
I know this a tip but more of a "hey your're going to be ok" type of motivating quote. I felt terrible the first two weeks of this because of how I was either failing at my job or being a mom with how little attention one had to get to give the other more. It's ok if your kid had to watch more screen time than usual. We are all going through it and will get through this virtually together! :)
Thanks for reading, till next week mama!
Grace
